How much does VetScribe cost?
£20 per vet, per month (excl. VAT) — that's £24 including VAT. Your first month is free, and it's discounted when you use it alongside other MyVet products.
Does it actually understand veterinary terms?
Yes — VetScribe is built for veterinary medicine, with an understanding of the medications, conditions, breeds and species you see in UK practice, plus terminology like POM-V and RCVS. It's not a generic dictation tool.
Can I use it as a solo vet?
Absolutely. VetScribe works for a single vet or a whole practice — you simply add a seat for each vet who'll use it.
What note formats can I use?
Choose the format that suits you — SOAP, DAP or a full clinical narrative — and VetScribe structures the consult to match, ready to review and drop into your records. You can also build your own templates to fit how you work.
Does it work with my practice management system?
Yes — VetScribe works alongside any PMS. Once your notes are written up, you simply copy them straight into your practice management system, so there's nothing to integrate and nothing to change about how you work.
Do I need the client's consent to record?
Yes — let the owner know you're using an AI scribe to record and write up the consultation, and get their agreement first, as you would with any recording. It only takes a moment, and most owners are happy once they hear it means more attention on their pet. The consent itself is yours to gather — same as any recording in your practice — but it's a ten-second ask.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Recordings, transcripts and notes are encrypted and hosted on AWS, with TLS 1.2 encryption in transit. Your records are kept safe, remain yours, and are stored securely for you to review at any time.
What happens after the free month?
You move onto £20 per vet, per month (excl. VAT · £24 inc. VAT). It's a rolling monthly subscription — no long contracts, and you can cancel any time. Cancel during the free month and you won't be charged at all.
I already use MyVet — is it cheaper?
