Introducing MyVet Websites — modern, mobile-first practice sites built for independent vets. £249 to build. £39/month after that. Live in 7 days.
We’ve been working with UK vet practices for over six years — first as a microchip database, now as a full practice management platform. And in nearly every conversation about MyVet over the last twelve months, the same gripe came up.
- “Our website’s a disaster.”
- “It looks fine on a laptop but it’s a mess on a phone.”
- “We pay £80 every time we need to add a vet to the team page.”
- “We’ve had three quotes for a rebuild — they all want £3,000 and four months.”
So we built the thing practices kept asking us for.
What's wrong with most vet practice websites right now
Click through the website of every independent practice. You’ll find the same handful of problems on almost all of them:
- A template from 2017 that hasn’t been touched since
- A “Book an appointment” button that’s actually a contact form that nobody on the team checks
- Prescription requests that go to an email inbox
- A mobile layout that’s either broken, ugly, or both
- Slow and clunky
None of this is the practice’s fault. Building a decent website is genuinely hard, agencies are expensive, and the in-house option (“we’ll get the receptionist to update it”) was never going to work.
But the cost of a tired website isn’t theoretical. It’s the new client who Googled you, opened your site on their phone at the school gates, and went to the practice two miles further down the road instead. It’s the existing client who couldn’t find your opening hours over Christmas and called four times to ask. It’s the prescription request that never made it to anyone.
Why we're offering this
MyVet is a modular platform — practices buy the bits they need (Appointments, Prescriptions, Connect, Inventory, etc.) and add more over time. A practice website sits naturally alongside that. If your booking, prescription, and registration forms live on a site we built, we can wire them into the MyVet hubs your reception team already uses. No more lost requests landing in an inbox nobody owns.
But here’s the important bit: you don’t need to be on MyVet to get a MyVet Website. It works as a standalone site, beautifully. If you’re already using a different practice management system and have no intention of switching, we’ll still build you a brilliant website. We’re not here to lock you in.
What you get
A modern, mobile-first website designed specifically for veterinary practices. Your brand, your photos, your tone of voice — not a generic template every clinic in town has used. Built on AWS hosting with free SSL, automatic backups, structured data, sitemap, and Google Business Profile setup all handled.
The forms — contact, registration, prescription requests, anything else you need — can land in your reception inbox as email, or feed straight into MyPet Connect if you’re using our messaging hub.
When you need a change — a new vet’s bio, a price update, a Christmas opening hours note — you message us. We turn it around within 48 hours. No agency, no extra invoices, no hassle.
See what we'd build for you
To show practices what they’d actually be getting, we built hawthornvets.com — a fully functioning sample site for a fictional clinic in Stamford. It’s not a real practice. Hawthorn Vets doesn’t exist. But the site is real — every page, every form, every layout you’d get if you signed up tomorrow.
Click around it. Pull it up on your phone. That’s the standard.
The price
£249 to build. £39/month after that. No long-term contract — cancel any time.
That covers hosting, the SSL certificate, unlimited content updates (48-hour turnaround), domain management, and support. If you have an existing domain or email setup, we migrate it for you.
Why it's that cheap (the question we get most)
Two reasons.
First, we ask you to provide the raw content — your about page, your team bios, your services and pricing list, your photos. You know your practice better than any agency does, and gathering that content is the bit that usually drags web projects out for months. We’ve made the brief tight enough that most practices can pull it together in an afternoon.
Second, we build on templated software designed specifically for vet practices. Once your brief lands with us, we’re not writing anything from scratch — we’re configuring a system already shaped around how a vet practice presents itself online. That’s how the build comes in at £249 instead of £3,000.
What happens next
Fill in the form on our MyVet Websites page and we’ll come back to you within one working day with a sample of what your site could look like and the brief to fill in. Once you send that back, you’ve got a live website in seven days.
If you’d rather talk it through first, book a 15-minute call — no pitch, just answers to whatever’s holding you back.
Your front door deserves better than a 2017 template and an £80 phone-number-change fee. Let’s fix it.
MyVet Websites is part of the MyVet platform from MyPet Pet Protection — a UK company that’s been helping vet practices since 2019. Defra-compliant microchip database. Founder member of AMDO.
